APPLICATION
Program Dates:
May 21 - May 28, 2023
BCI's week-long program is open to veterans and their family members, and takes place at White Stallion Ranch, in Tucson Arizona. Veteran participants will have the opportunity to work with mustangs (horses that have limited human contact) under the instruction of Jeff Cook, an award winning mustang trainer, and certified equine therapist Tamara Clause. The mustang portion of our program is centered around ground-work, which involves limited physical contact and emphasizes non-verbal communication - a central component of the educational and therapeutic experience. True to our mission, in order to ensure family members are fully included in the program, while veteran participants are working with Jeff and Tamara, our younger family participants will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the horsemanship experience, at White Stallion Ranch, working alongside BCI's head wrangler Carol Bachmann. Finally, all participants (veterans and their family members) will have the opportunity to participate in BCI tailored horsemanship clinics and lessons, and enjoy all of the additional services and activities the ranch offers its guests.
Please complete the application below. Your application will be reviewed within a week of submission. Once reviewed a BCI team member will contact you to discuss next steps. All veteran participants should expect a confirmation of their acceptance 30 days prior to program start date.
